As part of Your Choices Randolph’s dedication to providing excellent, quality care, our clients are our top priority during the COVID-19 outbreak. The following precautionary measures are being implemented to protect our clients, volunteers, and staff:
-
We will remain open and continue serving women in our community. Our commitment to our community is that all families who need our services will get those services in this unprecedented and increasingly stressful time. We know that women will need support, education, and encouragement now more than ever, so we are continuing to conduct appointments, provide ultrasounds and get services started for these women as quickly as possible.
-
We will only accept donations of diapers, wipes, and formula. We recognize that our community may have an increased need for these items and our goal is to be in place and serving the needs of our community.
-
We are ensuring that all surfaces, including but not limited to meeting areas, offices, restrooms, and our reception area, are being sanitized daily and after every appointment.
-
All unnecessary items have been removed from the waiting room (children’s toys, magazines, coffee bar, etc.).
-
No one above 65 years of age or below 16 (unless a client) will be permitted in the building.
This proactive approach is part of our effort to serve our community responsibly. We are staying updated on the spread of the Coronavirus and following advisories from the CDC, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Randolph County Health Department and the YCR Medical Director.
What to Expect if You Need an Appointment
Please call first if you are seeking an appointment. All incoming phone calls are screened for COVID-19. You will be asked questions to determine if you are symptomatic or have been in contact with someone who has been.
If you are symptomatic or have had exposure to someone who is, you will be advised to call your physician and follow instructions for care and evaluation. If you do not have a physician, you will be advised to call the health department. In these cases, we will conduct a phone appointment with one of our options coaches.
If you are not symptomatic or have not been in contact with someone who has had symptoms, we will see you in person for an appointment. You will complete the registration paperwork prior to arrival on a mobile device. We ask that you bring a mask or bandanna to cover your face, per CDC guidelines. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided for the duration of your appointment.
You are allowed to bring one support person. At this time, children are not permitted. If you must bring your child(ren), we ask that you also bring a support person who can wait with your child(ren) in the car.
We will keep everyone posted on any changes or updates as everything progresses.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we seek to serve our community wisely and responsibly during this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Executive Director, Caralynn Vaughn, at execdir@yourchoicesrandolph.org.
